#1) Leverage S1.E11 The Juror #6 Job
Did any of you honestly think that this week’s Leverage wouldn’t be the best episode of the night? While it wasn’t the best episode in the series, it was still a great episode. The episode seemed to be based a little off the film Runaway Jury, but the Leverage team put their own twist on it.
The reason I liked this episode is that is mostly featured my two favorite characters (Hardison and Parker). Parker is forced to try and make friends in the jury which is a hard job since she really has trouble making any friends. Sophie even tries to teach her how to make friends even though it doesn’t appear to work.
Meanwhile Hardison ends up becoming a lawyer to help out their client. Without even a law degree, Hardison is somehow able to beat a real lawyer who has backup from a whole team of lawyers. I guess if you’re good enough at faking it, you don’t even need a law degree in order to win a case.
Finally the rest of the gang had their moments including the guys football party using the teams multiscreen conference room, the gang faking being a part of a company in India (that was actually a real company), and Elliot being angry about always having to dig through the trash.
It’s too bad that there are only two more episodes left this season.
#2) Fringe S1.E14 Ability
Fringe has been off and on most of the season. The show has a good episode followed by an average episode. Well last night’s episode might have been the best of the series so far.
While the case itself wasn’t much, the mythology it brought up could be game changing. Being a sci-fi fan myself, I am really excited about where the show might be heading. It appears that Olivia must be a savior of some sort. Combine that with what appears to be an inter dimensional war that is about to erupt and I have to say that I am excited about Fringe’s future. Too bad that we for some reason have to wait all the way until April for another episode.
#3) Scrubs S8.E10 My Comedy Show
The second episode of last night’s Scrubs double feature was the better episode in my opinion. This episode really had the feeling of a final season episode. From the many references to the past of Scrubs, this episode was like a honor to the series run.
I was also glad to finally see JD and Turk back together since they haven’t been in an episode together for a while. The show was also about JD and Turk’s Bromance (and even played part of the song Guy Love from the musical episode). JD and Turk’s Bromance is the best part of this series. I just wonder why they didn’t think no one else in the hospital noticed it and were ashamed for a while when it was brought up in the comedy show.
#4) Scrubs S8.E9 My Absence
With JD gone on vacation, this episode decided to try some new things with JD by just having him talk through Elliot’s cellphone. These lead to three of the best moments of the episode. First the two scenes with JD spying on Dr. Cox through the phone, and finally when JD gave his regular recap of the lessons learned from the episode.
Other than JD’s absence from the hospital, Turk found out that he was having another child. He is disappointed though when no one shares his excitement of the news. Meanwhile Elliot misses JD the whole time that he is gone. While their relationship hasn’t worked in the past, I can’t see how it won’t work out this time.
#5) Biggest Loser S7.E6
Just another episode of the Biggest Loser in my opinion. While I congratulate the Purple team on winning immunity (they are fellow Wisconsinites afterall), the episode really had a lot of filler in my opinion. This episode really showed why I have always thought that The Biggest Loser should either be an hour or an hour and a half show.
As far as the elimination, while the black team wasn’t my favorite team; it is pretty sad when a team does so well every other week and ends up losing a member due to one bad week. I think The Biggest Loser needs to drop the group weigh ins from now on. While I don’t mind it earlier on in the game, at this point the contestants should really be relying on themselves to stay above the yellow line.
Your Take: What were your thoughts on last night’s episodes?
