- Sci Fi has ordered 20 episodes of the “Battlestar Galactica” prequel “Caprica.” Production is expected to begin next summer and the show should begin unspooling in 2010. The show is set 50 years before the events of “Battlestar Galactica” and stars Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, Paula Malcomson, and Polly Walker. Press Release
- CBS has ordered five additional episodes of its freshman drama “Eleventh Hour.” The show is averaging 11.98 million viewers a week but holds just 57% of lead-in CSI’s audience. That is probably the reason for the shorter than usual season.
- The CW has announced that the reality series “13: Fear Is Real” will premiere on January 7 at 8/7c, taking over for “America’s Next Top Model” until the show’s next season is ready. Encores of “13″ will also air in the Friday at 9/8c slot.
- Courtney B. Vance (”Law & Order: Criminal Intent”) and Jack Davenport (the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films) have joined ABC’s drama pilot “Flash Forward.” The show is rumored to be one of ABC’s hottest pilots and a potential companion to “Lost.” It is based on a Robert J. Sawyer novel and tells the tale of the world after everyone blacks out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future. (Source)
