Everybody’s favorite cat and bird are back. This time they are on the case of crimes from all over the world. Along with the help of Granny and Hector (the dog) they will solve crimes and some of the most bizarre events imaginable. Maybe Sylester will finally be able to get Tweety this time around.

Before getting this DVD set I don’t think I had ever heard of the show even though the show began over a decade ago so that might be why. Obviously the show wasn’t a flop or a huge hit. It actually had around 50 episodes spread amongst five seasons. Well this is enough about the show. What did I actually think about the show?

I overall thought it was a very average cartoon. If I had to describe the plot of this DVD set I would take your typical Sylvester and Tweety and add on a mystery element. The Sylvester and Tweety portion is just what you would expect. Sylvester tries to unsuccessfully catch Tweety. Meanwhile the mystery portion struggles in my opinion. None of the cases were very good in my opinion since they weren’t very interesting and they were very very predictable.

One thing the show is really lacking is humor. Most cartoons have at least some humor but this show is severely lacking the humor in my opinion. The show just tries to be funny but it fails. Maybe it is just because it wasn’t my type of humor. I doubt this is the case though.

I have been pretty harsh on this DVD set but it is only because it is completely average. It is really hard to talk about an average show so you pretty much have to either criticize it too hard or not criticize it enough. If you are a fan of cartoons (Sylvester and Tweety in particular) you should like this show despite me not liking the show that much.
