This week at Dunder Mifflin, Michael decides to hold a baby shower for Jan. I don’t know why but Michael for some reason feels he has some obligation to Jan despite the fact that it isn’t his baby and they aren’t even dating any longer. In order to prepare for the birth, Michael actually has Dwight help him prepare for when Jan gives birth. That ends up not mattering since Jan already had the baby (Astrid). They decide to still hold the baby shower which is akward in the least. Meanwhile Dwight ends up testing Jan’s baby stroller since he thinks it is too expensive. He ends up putting it through a bunch of stress tests and the stroller actually survives. Michael ends up finally letting Jan go and actually asks Holly out on a date and she accepts. I don’t know if it was just me but I really didn’t find this storyline to be funny at all. The only part that was even remotely funny was Dwight pretending to be pregnant and his stress tests for the stroller.
Besides the baby shower Jim and Pam’s relationship is starting to be strained by currently being in a long distance relationship. I don’t know if it is just me but I like the Jim and Pam relationship and I really don’t like that Pam is all of a sudden away from the Office. I hope that Pam is brought back to Scranton soon since the show really hasn’t been that funny this season at least in my opinion.
So what are your thoughts on this episode of the Office? Also how do you think the season is going? Finally do you think Jim and Pam’s relationship will be able to survive the long distance?
