The Case
William is stressed at work. He has been working too hard and his coworkers think he should take a break. A young man named Ray Jr. then shows up at the headquarters. It turns out the William helped out Ray Jr.’s mother (Susanah). Ray Jr. tells William that his mother recently died and that he is now staying with his father, Ray, who recently was released from prison for drug possession.
William tells the crew about the case and William gets Arnie to go undercover with him. This doesn’t please Akani since she wanted to undercover. Meanwhile Ray meets with one of his old gang buddies (Jack). Jack tries to recruit Ray to help him with a drug run but Ray tells him that he isn’t interested since he can’t be arrested again. William and Arnie show up at Jack’s gang’s headquarters. They both pretend to be motorcycle builders and they offer their services in order to help make the gang’s bikes better at concealing drugs for their drug runs. Jack accepts their help after he checks out their bikes that have been highly modified.
Meanwhile Ray Jr. asks his father if he is still doing drugs. Ray claims that he isn’t doing drugs any longer but that turns out to be a lie. Ray Jr. tells his father that he has decided to go back into the foster system since he can’t stay with Ray if he continues to use drugs. Ray decides to join Jack and the rest of the gang on the drug run since he thinks he can win Ray Jr. back if he finally makes some money to support him with.
Jack decides to finally use Arnie and has him create some custom motorcycle parts for the next drug run. At this point the gang wants to pull out of the case and just call the cops but William refuses to. he can’t let Ray be arrested again or he will go to jail for a very long time. Ray Jr. shows up at the business and is upset with William since he hasn’t found a way to cure Ray. William tells Ray Jr. that his father needs to want to quit or there is nothing he can do.
William has Arnie and Darnell spy on the gangs hideout but when they can’t see anything Arnie decides to go in again. Jack gets suspicious of him since he wasn’t supposed to come back after finishing the job. Jack thinks that he is a cop so he beats him up a little and then makes him smoke some drugs in order to prove that he isn’t a cop. This kickstarts Arnie’s drug problems once again. Darnell tells William about what Arnie did and William quickly shows up at the hangout. He tells Ray his real name and Ray recognizes him for the night where he saved Susanah and seemed to pin everything on him. Ray wants to kill William until Ray Jr. tells him that William is there to help him. There is a long standoff (with guns) until Ray finally gives up and agrees to go into rehab. Ray Jr. helps his father through all the cravings that he encounters when he goes through withdrawl.
At the House
Ben tells William that he wants to quit football. William tries to stop him from quiting but Ben won’t listen to him. Ben avoids William as much as he can since he is so upset at William. William meets Ben at school and tries to get him to rejoin the team but Ben refuses to listen to him. Ben decides to act out and ends up throwing footballs through all the school’s windows. William has to bail Ben out of prison and William tries to talk to him but he refuses to listen to him. Ben ends up running away from home. When he doesn’t return home Melissa calls the police while William prays to God for him to return home. Lula ends up getting a text message from Ben where he tells her his location so we are left to assume that Ben is then brought home.
