The Drug Obcessed Professor
A math professor (called Teddy) works late into the night. When one of his students asks him for some help he kind of snaps at him and you can tell that he is sweating and he is panicking.The next morning Teddy and Tess (his colleague and girlfriend) have breakfast at his parent’s diner. He is still acting nervous for some reason. He tries to explain that he is just stressed out about having to write his paper so he can finally be published. Tess is starting to worry about him but he tells her that everything will go back to normal when he finishes his paper so they can finally settle down.
Later that night Teddy actually breaks into his parents diner and steals some money from the cash register. Teddy returns home and actually sets up a drug buy outside his house. Tess catches him and confronts him but he just ignores her. This prompts Tess to meet William and ask for his help. Tess tells William that Teddy used to use the drugs to help him get through his classes at school but no he is just abusing them. William has Arnie pose as a student to keep an eye on Teddy while Akani and Darnell try to find his drug dealer.
Teddy is frantically working in his office when the same student comes by again. Teddy actually has the audacity to ask one of his students for money and the student actually offers to give it to him. Teddy then heads to the drug location that Akani and Darnell are checking out. Darnell tries to stop Teddy and he almost gets himself killed. William and Akani are smart enough to stop him just in time.
Teddy is working in his office and Tess tells him that he needs to get help. She tells him that the drugs are ruining his life that everything that he has written since taking the drugs is pretty much giberish. Teddy doesn’t believe her. Arnie continues working undercover at the school and actually pulls a fire alarm in order to sneak into the campuses office and look into Teddy’s and Tess’ files. He finds out that both of their paychecks have been advanced for quite some time.
Teddy hits rock bottom when he gets into a fight with one of his students when he offers to help him with one of his equations. Tess drops by William’s office and she admits to helping Teddy buy some of his drugs since she couldn’t lose him. William thinks it is time to take Teddy in since his life is about to hit rock bottom. Teddy ends up breaking into his parent’s diner once again and this time he steals the deed to their restaurant. One of William’s informants call him and tell him about Teddy trying to sell the deed. William pretends to be a buyer and when Teddy isn’t looking, Darnell knocks him out with a drug and they take him to rehab. William tells Teddy that he has a long road ahead of him but he can regain what he lost if he sticks to the program.
The Family
William is excited that he is having a party over at his house and one of his friends (Quinn) is coming over. Quinn is actually the person that helped William get over his drug addiction. The party is a success and everyone seems to enjoy themselves. The next day Melissa catches Ben smoking. William is disappointed in him and Ben doesn’t seem to care. Ben actually found a syringe in the bathroom after the party and he thinks that it is William’s and that he is a hypocrite. Ben confronts William about the needle and William reassures him and Melissa that he isn’t doing drugs again. William doubts that it is Quinn at first but finally realizes that it is him. William agrees to help Quinn get over his addiction but he also tells Quinn that he will never be allowed near his house every again.
