The Big Bang Theory S2.E4 “The Griffin Equivalency” (October 13, 2008) Recap and Review

Raj is named one of People’s “30 to Watch Under 30″ when he discovers something in space. Sheldon doesn’t think it is a big deal and Leonard and Howard have to force him to be nice to Raj. However, Raj quickly grows a huge ego annoying his friends. Only Penny is willing to go with him to the party honoring the people named in the article. She quickly becomes annoyed with him as well when Raj gets way too drunk and becomes obnoxious. The next day, Raj realizes how big of a jerk he was and is able to squeak out an apology to Penny.

Along with a ton of great one-liners (you can find them in the quotes section), there was an unexpected cameo by none other than Charlie Sheen (how much you want to bet he gets nominated for an Emmy for guest actor in a comedy for this despite only appearing for about five seconds?). The five seconds he was on were pretty funny, even more so because nobody had any idea he would be appearing. I also loved Sheldon’s fake (and very creepy) smile and Raj when he was drunk. It was also good to see Raj get some significant screen time for once. He is definitely an underrated character in this comedy.
