Worried about your favorite show’s chances at renewal? Want to know if a show is safe before you invest your time in it? You’ve come to the right place.
Already Renewed:
- No Shows
Safe:
- 90210-Even if the ratings haven’t been as good as The CW hoped they would be, they’ll stick with it just like they did for “Gossip Girl.”
- America’s Next Top Model-I’m 100% certain that The CW will order two more seasons in May.
- Gossip Girl-The CW’s signature show is not going to get cancelled even though ratings have started to drop again and ABC Family’s similar “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” is beating it.
- Smallville-This was supposed to be the final season for this show but it has improved so much this year that The CW is looking to bring it back for a ninth season. Negotiations with Tom Welling have already started and I’ve heard they are going very well.
- Supernatural-It’s definitely safe for a fifth season but I’ve heard Eric Kripke only planned for the show to run for five years. If true, next season could be its last.
On the Bubble:
- 13: Fear Is Real-The ratings for the first episode weren’t great but if they hold steady in week two it could get a second season. That’s very unlikely and I’m guessing I’ll be moving this down to “as good as gone” in a few weeks.
- Everybody Hates Chris-With ratings dropping every season, I’m guessing The CW scraps its entire comedy lineup for next season.
- Farmer Wants a Wife-This show did pretty well in the summer and I’m guessing it will be picked up for another season. I can’t guarantee it though because its not like it did spectacularly.
- The Game-See “Everybody Hates Chris.”
- One Tree Hill-Ratings are pretty good at least for The CW, however the show is getting up there in age and becoming more expensive by the year. More than likely it gets a seventh and final season but the show definitely isn’t safe enough to move up from the “on the bubble” category.
As Good As Gone:
- Privileged-Even though this show has a lot of fans (even a lot of critics love it), it just doesn’t get the ratings it would need for a second season.
- Stylista-This show had low ratings from the beginning. Considering it got the network’s best possible lead-in (”America’s Next Top Model”), its definitely as good as gone.
Already Cancelled:
- 4Real-Cancelled on 11/20/08.
- Easy Money-Cancelled on 11/20/08.
- In Harm’s Way-Cancelled on 11/20/08.
- Valentine-Cancelled 11/20/08.
Yet to Air:
- Reaper: Season 2

I truly hope that Kripke reconsiders ending Supernatural at season 5. I understand that was always his intention but..I think it could go for a few more gaining even bigger ratings.
