I don’t know if is just me but I found last night’s Smallville episode to be quite boring. Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) is an interesting character but I don’t know if he really deserved a character centered episode. It was nice to see how he got his “ability” but it just wasn’t that interesting. Episodes like this show why it is a good thing that this is the final season of Smallville since the show has really taken a fall the last couple of seasons. Agree with me or not? Feel free to express your opinion on this episode and the show in general in the comments section. For those of you who missed the episode here is a very brief recap of the episode.
Oliver holds a fundraiser. Things quickly go sour when Oliver passes out. Chloe and Clark take him to the Isis foundation since he refuses to see the doctor. Oliver tells them that he has been poisoned and he only has 12 hours to live. Oliver goes in and out of consciousness. While he is out of it he relives how he crashed on an island and learned all his archery skills. While on the island he helped Tess who was taken captive by some thugs. They eventually escape since they wouldn’t be in Smallville if they didn’t.
Meanwhile Chloe uses her super smarts to find out what Oliver was poisoned with. Clark gets the cure and saves Oliver. Oliver tells them that they need to help Tess since the man that poisoned him is now after her. It turns out that the thug from the island is back to get his revenge. Tess proceeds to poison the thug with the poison that he was trying to kill her with.
