Penny is depressed and thinks she is a failure because she hasn’t been getting auditions despite being in Los Angeles for two years. She is locked out of her apartment and Sheldon exposes her to the world of online gaming. She quickly becomes addicted and constantly bugs Sheldon to help her. Sheldon tries everything to get her off her addiction, he even signs her up for an online dating site. Nothing works until Penny realizes she’s actually talking to Howard in the game. She quickly realizes she has to stop playing.
Since I am a “World of Warcraft” fan myself, I loved this episode about online gaming. While I haven’t pulled all-nighters and the game hasn’t hurt my life, I can definitely see how it could screw up lives. Penny and Sheldon (aka Sheldor the Conqueror) were hilarious together as usual. The subject matter lead to so many great jokes. I also loved it when Sheldon accidentally asked a gay guy out when he was trying to find a mate for Penny.
Also, how cool was that liquid/solid that looked like it was dancing on a speaker. I so have to do that some time.
