“I See You.com” kept my interest for the whole 93 minutes but it definitely can’t be considered a great movie. While I chuckled throughout most of the film, there really weren’t any laugh-out-loud moments. In the end “I See You.com” can be described as your typical raunchy comedy with an interesting story.

When the Bellingers lose their entire nest egg during the dot-com bust, son Colby (Botuchis) comes up with a great idea to earn some extra income. Without his parents (Bridges and Arquette) and step-sister’s (Neff) knowledge, he places cameras in every room of the house so the lives of the Bellingers can be seen by anyone on the internet willing to pay for a subscription to the site. His step-dad is becomes the butt of many jokes and many viewers enjoy watching his beautiful ex-Playboy model mom and his very naughty step-sister. The site quickly becomes a success and rakes in thousands of dollars. However, what happens when Colby’s family finds out about the site?

I thought the story was actually very original and interesting. I am a fan of reality shows so that may be why I got a bit more enjoyment out of the film than I thought I would. The story obviously isn’t a masterpiece (the film is a comedy after all) but it is definitely above average and sets up a lot of humor. The comedy is mostly of the raunchy variety which I usually don’t like. However, it wasn’t as bad as most films in the genre and I did think the movie was pretty funny. It isn’t laugh-out-loud funny but most people should still enjoy the humor.

Acting is fine with several veteran actors (Bridges, Arquette, Appleby) mixed with a few youngsters (Botuchis and Neff). Nobody is a weak link but there aren’t any particularly strong performances either.

There are no issues with either the audio or video quality that need to be brought up. Bonus features are a bit on the lean side with only a making-offeaturette and deleted scenes. These aren’t bad extras but a few more additions would have been nice.

Even though “I See You.com” is technically not rated it is pretty obvious that this would get an R rating. While the naughty bits are never completely shown there is a lot of sex, inuendoes, and a few F bombs. Still, I would put the film on the lower end of the R rating.

In conclusion, “I See You.com” is a slightly above average film with an interesting concept. While there aren’t a ton of hilarious moments there is enough comedy throughout the movie to keep you laughing. Recommended
