Charley and Michelle leave town but Cromartie finds them. While Charley is paying for gas, Cromartie gets in the truck and drives off with Michelle. He calls Sarah and tells her what happened. He asks for help and Sarah decides to help but only goes with Derek, leaving Cameron and John at home.
While John and Cameron are buying computers, John gets a call from Riley. He wants to go hang out with her but Cameron tells him she has to stay with him. After this, John makes a run for it. Catherine calls Agent Ellison with a job opportunity and peaks his interest by promising to tell him what killed his colleagues.
Michelle is tied up but manages to call Charley. Derek makes him ask a few personal questions so they know for sure it is her. She passes the test and gives them a few clues to her location. Cromartie stops the call and puts Michelle on a bomb that is set up to go off within milliseconds of any movement.
John and Riley hang out but Cameron is watching on. Sarah, Derek, and Charley find Michelle’s location but Cromartie isn’t around. Sarah notices the elaborate bomb and knows Michelle can’t move at all. Cromartie messes with the car and Sarah realizes that the bomb is a fake. He didn’t want any of them dead, he just wanted to put them on an island so he could get to John alone.
Sarah calls John but Cromartie is listening in. He then sets off a bomb that destroys the building Sarah and company are in. Everybody is okay but Michelle is hurt. Cromartie calls John and fakes Sarah’s voice. He tells John to go to the pier and turn his phone off.
Catherine offers Ellison the job and tells him she’s trying to reverse engineer the Terminator technology. She knows one tried to kill John Connor. She also knows Ellison knows about them, she wants answers and thinks Ellison could help her find another Terminator.
John goes to the pier and Cameron finds out where he went from Riley. Sarah and company steal a van but Michelle is in really bad shape. Sarah has to stop the van so Charley can attend to her. John sees Cromartie but Cromartie spots him as well. He makes a run for it and does a good job of avoiding Cromartie. Cromartie does get two shots off before both dive into the water. Since Cromartie is metal, he sinks and John is able to get away. Sarah finally gets to John and Connor. Michelle doesn’t make it and Cromartie watches on at her funeral.
