Mac has been creating “Project Badass” tapes (videos of him doing incredibly lame stunts). Dennis likes them quite a bit. Even though Charlie said he liked them as well, Mac doubts it since he saw him destroy a tape. Charlie has a code red emergency, he thinks the waitress is seeing someone. Charlie asks best friend Mac to check into it and he does. However, it turns out that he is the one that is “banging the waitress.”
Since Dennis is upset that Charlie thinks Mac is his best friend (Dennis isn’t his best friend because he banged the waitress), he tries to get Charlie to like him more. Mac wants to bang the waitress as retribution for Charlie destroying his tape. The waitress will do so on one condition, Mac has to get Dennis out of his apartment so she can steal the sex tape Dennis made of her. Mac calls Charlie with a status report, he kicked the crap out of a guy named Don Johnson. Dennis tells Charlie that Mac is lying because Don Johnson is the guy from “Miami Vice.” He thinks Mac is banging the waitress. When Mac breaks Charlie’s heart, Dennis will be there to pick him back up.
Charlie begins to believe Dennis’ suspicions. Dennis continues to work him over. Meanwhile, Mac tells Dennis that he is his blood brother. He also tells him that he wants to bang the waitress and he needs Charlie out of the apartment for a day so they can do it in Dennis’ bed (she’s freaky like that). Dennis will do it.
Charlie needs proof that Mac is banging the waitress. Dennis tells him that they will be able to catch him the act using the camera in his bedroom. The waitress gets the tape she wanted but wants to bang at Charlie and Frank’s apartment. Dennis and Charlie listen in via a walkie talkie and think they hear them talking about roleplaying as Dennis and Charlie (they were really just talking about how they would sneak into Charlie’s apartment). The two now think that Mac is in love with them.
Charlie and Dennis try to hide in the apartment to catch Mac and the waitress in the act but get caught in a very sexual position. The waitress just wants Frank’s sex tape. Charlie tells her that he destroyed it. Mac realizes that that was the tape Charlie smashed, not one of his Project Badass ones. In fact, Charlie loves his videos. Mac tells Charlie that he was planning on banging the waitress to get back at him. All three agree that she is worthless. They also decide that they can all be each other’s best friend.
