Recap-It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia S4.E1 “Mac and Dennis: Manhunters” (September 18, 2008)

Charlie and Dee steal some of Frank’s meat and love the taste. Frank demands that they give it back since he was the one that shot the deer. He also brags about how good of a hunter he is. Dennis and Mac think that hunting a man is the only way to become a great hunter since man is the only animal that can think. Both decide to start a manhunt.

Charlie and Dee eat some more of Frank’s meat that he conveniently left out of his chained up refrigerator. Frank tells them that they just ate human meat (he was trying to teach them a lesson) but they don’t believe him. Mac picks out the perfect guy to hunt, Cricket. Mac and Dennis tell him that he will be hunted and he obviously runs away. Neither Charlie or Dee can sleep since they think it might actually have been human meat. They can’t get the taste out of their mouth and it tastes like nothing they’ve had before. Dee thinks that maybe Frank got some mystery meat so the two go shopping for strange and unusual types of meat.

Mac and Dennis are excited to start hunting. Frank tells them that they shouldn’t hunt a man, Cricket could easily snap. Charlie and Dee try a bunch of different meats and none of them are similar. They both have cravings for that meat. Charlie worries since cannibals get the taste then never want to eat anything else. Dee suggests that they try a little bit of human flesh at the morgue to know for sure if they ate a human.

Mac and Dennis spend most of the day getting wasted until Cricket finally comes along. The two run at him but he gets away since he has more moves than James Bond in “Casino Royale.” Charlie and Dee go to the morgue for a sample. However neither of them can eat the black guy (they momentarily think they are racists in addition to cannibals) or the white guy next to him.

Frank hides until Cricket comes along. He then offers to turn the tables on Mac and Dennis and show them that hunting humans isn’t right. Both Mac and Dennis wake up to knives in their pillows. Both know it was Cricket and fear that he has finally snapped. Charlie and Dee have an insatiable hunger and start eyeing people on the street. They pick out a perfect homeless guy and bring him back home. They prep him for dining until they accidentally let slip that they are going to eat him. Frank arrives and tells Mac and Dennis that he has proven his point, men should not be hunted. Charlie and Dee demand more of Frank’s meat. He tells them that it was just racoon meat and their hunger is probably due to a tapeworm. Charlie doesn’t believe him and tries to catch Frank so he can eat him.
