Recap-Criss Angel Mindfreak S4.E18 “Silverton Final Attempt” (October 1, 2008)

crissangelmindfreak s4e18 300x225 Recap Criss Angel Mindfreak S4.E18 Silverton Final Attempt (October 1, 2008)

Fire Station Demonstration: Criss has one firefighter visualize someone the name of someone he saved. He then lights a piece of paper on fire, puts the remnants in his hands, and rubs them together. Burned into his right hand is a M and the left a B (M is the start of the person’s first name and B is the start of their last name). I personally wasn’t that impressed especially since he asked the firefighter to reveal the two letters before he had even finished.

Silverton Final Attempt: Criss revisits an old demonstration that he has failed, the Silverton underwater escape where he had to get out of a pair of handcuffs, open a locked cage, and get out of a pair of handcuffs on his feet. He almost died the first time since he was sick and the cage got stuck. He tried to give it another go but his medical team wouldn’t let him do it since he was sick. He is ready to try it one last time. First, he undergoes some breath holding training. He initially struggles but eventually gets his time up to 6:18.

Unbelievably, Criss gets sick before the demonstration yet again. Plus, the key that unlocks the cage doesn’t seem to fit (it had worked the previous day). Criss’ team thinks the demonstration is jinxed but Criss can’t cancel on the thousands watching again. He does it and has absolutely no trouble this time. He finishes in a phenomenal time of 1:30.

So what were your thoughts on the episode? Do you think you know how Criss performed one of the tricks? Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts since we always appreciate comments on The TV Legion.
