Recap-Criss Angel Mindfreak S4.E13 “Mindfreaking with the Stars” (September 10, 2008)

In this episode, Criss teaches celebrities like Carrot Top and Gene Simmons how to perform “mindfreaks.” Some of them even show the viewers how it is done.

Ted Nugent: He puts down several random items and asks a woman to pick out her favorite item (a gumball). Earlier he had given his phone number to another woman and they call the number now. The answering machine message mentions the gumball.

Carrot Top: After he turns around and closes his eyes, he asks Criss to put a coin in one of his hands and close it. He then asks Criss to raise his hand to his head and visualize it. He then opens his eye and picks the right hand. The trick is in the hand raise. When you open your eyes, all you have to do is pick out the paler hand since the blood will rush out of it when it is raised.

Elvis Costello: He removes the jack and queen from a standard deck of cards and asks Criss to put them back in anywhere he wants. Elvis then easily picks out the cards. This trick is very sneaky. All you have to do is make sure not to point out the suit of the cards. Then, make sure to put the other jack and queen of the same color on the outside of the deck (one on the top, the other on the bottom). Simply pull there two out and more than likely nobody will ever know that you cheated.

Anthony Michael Hall: He turns around and asks a spectator to put any crayon she wants in his hand. He turns back around and then asks her to visualize how she would spell out the color on his hand. He then correctly identifies that the color is green. This trick is very simple and quite clever. All you do is dig your nail into the crayon then take a peek at your nail when you ask the other person to visualize how he/she would spell it out.

Gene Simmons: Criss puts $1,000,000 on the line in this demonstration of muscle readings. He picks out ten people that are all given wallets. He then closes his eyes and turns around and asks Gene to give the check to one of the ten people to put in their wallet. He then opens his eyes and asks the ten people to turn around so he can’t read them. He has Gene put his hand on his shoulder and quickly narrows it down to just two people. He then asks Gene to say the two names and Criss picks out the right person. This actually isn’t a trick at all, it is just muscle reading. Like most people would, Gene tried to move Criss away when he got to the right area.
