Jeri Chandler (mother of quintuplets):

  • Her game began last week, click here to find out how she fared.
  • Question 5 (4th Grade U.S. History): “The first ever westbound Pony Express delivery started in Missouri and ended in what U.S. state?” She believes it is California but has to peek at her son’s paper. He wrote Massachusetts, which obviously isn’t correct. Jeri goes with California and is correct.
  • Question 6 (3rd Grade Music): “True or false? The mandolin is a string instrument.” She has seen one and knows it is true. She’s correct.
  • Question 7 (3rd Grade Animal Science): “In terms of average weight, what animal is the largest living member of the ape family? A. Chimpanzee, B. Gorilla, C. Orangutan” She goes with gorilla and is correct.
  • Question 8 (4th Grade Astronomy): “The sun is the brightest star we can see during the day. What is the name of the brightest star we can see in the night sky?” She must have misread the question because she goes with Venus. The correct answer was the Dog Star aka Sirius. Luckily Olivia is able to save her.
  • Question 9 (5th Grade Science): “There are three elements that are found in all carbohydrates. Carbon and hydrogen are two of them. What’s the third?” Jeri decides to drop out with her $175,000. The answer was oxygen, which was what both her and her daughter thought it was.

Richard Allen (dentist):

  • In addition to the kids, Richard gets a visiting class of his dental hygienists to help him out.
  • Question 1 (1st Grade Social Studies): “True or false? The District of Columbia is one of the 50 United States.” He obviously knows that it is false and is correct.
  • Question 2 (1st Grade Grammar): “What punctuation mark appears at the end of this sentence?” He quickly locks in with question mark and is obviously correct.
  • Question 3 (2nd Grade Spelling): “Spell the following word. Genius” He knows it is G-E-N-I-U-S and is correct.
  • Question 4 (2nd Grade U.S. Geography): “There are two U.S. states whose names start with the letter “K.” Kentucky is one of them. What is the other?” He correctly locks in with Kansas.
  • Question 5 (3rd Grade Science): “How many poles does a magnet have?” He goes with two and is correct.
  • Question 6 (3rd Grade World Geography): “Which of the following is a country in Africa? A. Albania, B. Argentina, C. Algeria” He locks in with C and is once again correct.
  • Question 7 (4th Grade Astronomy): “What constellation, which contains the star Betelgeuse, is named for a hunter in Greek mythology?” He is pretty sure it is Orion and goes with that answer. It’s the correct answer.
  • Question 8 (5th Grade Measurements): “In U.S. measurements, how many feet are in one furlong?” He takes a chance and copies Jonathan’s paper. The correct answer was 660, which was Jonathan’s answer.
  • Question 9 (5th Grade U.S. History): “Lewis and Clark were famous explorers who reached Oregon in 1805. Clark’s first name was William. What was Lewis’s first name?” He doesn’t know so he drops out with his $175,000. The answer was Meriweather.
