Rant: Before you send the hate messages let me explain why I am giving House a rant. I don’t know if it is just me but this week’s case was pretty ridiculous in my opinion. I don’t know if it is just me but House’s cases are starting to get even more ridiculous than ever before. I want someone to explain to me how this week’s case is realistic in any sense. Even if it is technically possible I still wouldn’t believe it unless I saw it with my own eyes. I just have a hard time believing that a father and daughter both have a virus that makes them both sleepwalk and the father do drugs while sleepwalking. While this did lead to a hilarious moment when Taub and Thirteen had to buy some drugs, it was too ridiculous to believe. While House has never been that realistic, it is hard to enjoy a case that was way too ridiculous in my opinion.
Rave: This rave goes out to Eli Stone in general. Last night’s episode was just another piece of proof of why Eli Stone is the best legal show on television. Eli Stone has a great cast and interesting cases each week. How could you not like a show that takes such an uplifting look on the world. As far the episode itself, it was great to see that Jordan will be starting his own law firm that will help the underdogs in the world. Combine that with the touching storyline of the lead paint and this was a very good episode of Eli Stone. To top it off, add on the shocking ending (that Maggie is actually defending the bad guys) and this was easily the best show that aired yesterday. Know let’s all hope that Eli can turn Maggie back to the light before she joins the dark side.
Rant: This rave goes to the contestants of this seasons Biggest Loser. To begin with none of the contestants were very interesting to begin with. At this point I really can’t say I’m rooting for any of them. If that wasn’t bad enough, the contestants can’t see what is happening right beneath their noses. I don’t know how no one has figured out that Brady and Vicky are controlling this game and manipulating everyone. While they won’t admit it (I would have more respect for them if they actually did) it is so obvious that they are playing the game. Brady obviously threw the previous weigh-in. They can deny it all they want, you can tell by their reactions that they threw it. Isn’t it suspicious that pretty much the same thing happened this week as well (this time with Vicky). Things might change next week since it is everyone for themselves but at this point Brady and Vicky are controlling the game which is leading to a very boring season.
Rave: A rave is going to Frank TV for a very funny episode last night. While I might be a little biased here (I am one of the biggest Packer fans in the world), I thought the John Madden skit was hilarious. Madden’s love affair for Brett Favre actually probably could be taken far enough that Madden would have to have a reality show to find a new QB to love. Other good sketches included ESPN Political (I am surprised that ESPN hasn’t thought of this idea yet), and the sketch of McCain looking unsuccessfully for some celebrity endorsements. I have always thought Frank Caliendo was pretty funny and last nights episode of Frank TV confirmed that fact in my opinion.
Rant: This rant goes out to the people at Scare Tactics. This is only the twelve episode after the relaunch and the show is already relying on rehashing pranks they have already pulled this season. If if was only one I would be disappointed, but it turns out they duplicated two. While both lead to some pretty good reactions I don’t know how the people behind the show couldn’t come up with anything else. They could have essentially done anything they wanted to scare people. There should be plenty of ideas to last seasons and yet they couldn’t come up with enough to last 12 episodes. One positive in the episode though is this was pretty much the first time this season that someone was actually smart enough to actually try and get away.
