Rant: I want to know how in the world a professional singer could fail so miserably on Don’t Forget the Lyrics. Their profession is singing so you would assume that they know lyrics since that is their job. Obviously that isn’t necessarily true since Constantine Maroulis (former American Idol contestant) did pretty poorly on Don’t Forget the Lyrics last night. He did leave with $25,000 but that isn’t saying a whole lot since it is not very hard to reach $25,000. I don’t know why Constantine had so much trouble especially since every other singer that has appeared on the show has done great.
Rave: While Crusoe might be a little slow, it has already established itself as the be network show on Fridays. I guess that isn’t saying a whole lot since Fridays have become a dumping ground for the networks. Unless Crusoe drops off I plan on continuing to watching it. Seeing the show in HD is also a huge positive since the show is downright gorgeous in HD. It is actually one of the shows that shows of HD in it’s finest. With some tweaks (speeding up the show) I think Crusoe could be a good Friday distraction.
Rant: I don’t know if it is just me but I wonder why Crusoe doesn’t just build a ship to return home. He keeps complaining about being away from his family and yet he does nothing to try and change his current predicament. He has the time to build an elaborate treehouse and yet he doesn’t have the time to build the ship. It’s not like he doesn’t have the materials or know how to build a ship. He even has Friday to help him build the ship. It also can’t be that he can’t find his way back home since everyone seems to be able to find this mysterious island that he crashed on. I think Crusoe really needs to stop whinning and actually start building a ship if he ever actually wants to get off the island.

Why is it a professional singer’s job to know the lyrics to every song?!? He sounded amazing and entertained me to the max. Wayne & Constantine together - sweet!!
How in the world can someone know the lyrics to every song, even if they are a professional singer? Constantine went on the show for charity, unlike most contestants that go on to win money for themselves thinking they are pretty good at remembering song lyrics. His voice was great and he was funny and entertaining.
Considering this guy has to use a music stand to sing tired overplayed cover songs, and had to have his blackberry handy to remember lyrics of HIS OWN SONGS, you can’t expect much. And all that weed does screw up memory, so, there ya go.
Hell, this guy couldn’t even sing all the words that were right there on the screen in front of him, so filling in the blanks is apparently expecting way too much.
Constantine did a fine job. He was suffering from allergies that night and he was taking meds for that. They messed up his head a bit. Plus, he had just gotten off the phone with me. I think he had a bit of a work out with me, rosie palm and her 5 sisters! You go Constantine!! I loves ya baby!
