Desperate Housewives S5.E10 A Vision’s Just a Vision
After last week’s disappointing episode, I thought this week’s episode was about the same. I like that Carlos regained his sight since there are many more options for his character now that he has gotten his sight back. I am also starting to like the Porter in trouble with the law storyline. I also like that the show appears to finally be doing something with Andrew this season other than being Bree’s assistant. The Susan/Katherine storyline really isn’t intriguing me and I wonder why Desperate Housewives didn’t just write Katherine off after last season if this was all they were planning to do with her character.
Finally the big news of the episode is that we found out that Dave’s target is Mike. What a shocker! While Mike is an obvious choice, I kind of wish the show would have actually done something original and actually made the target more of a surprise. One thing I am left wondering about is why Dave would essentially go crazy and plan on murdering a man who killed his family in a car crash. The car crash was an accident as far as we know so I don’t know how a man could have so much anger that he would try to kill a person that just got in a car crash. While I am actually liking the addition of Dave this season, hopefully this is his only season. Desperate Housewives better not cop out again and magically make Dave a good guy and he joins the regular cast. Sometimes villains should just stay villains.

Brothers and Sisters S3.E10 Just a Sliver
This season of Brothers and Sisters has been so on and off. The positive in this episode is that there was not a single mention of Ryan. I personally am getting so sick and tired of him and we haven’t even met him yet. Brothers and Sisters really have their work cut out for them to actually make me start caring about the character.
As far as the episode itself, I personally thought it was kind of boring. I thought it was funny that all the kids tried to ditch Nora’s thanksgiving though. What really worries me though is what I saw in the preview for the second half of the season. Unless I am seeing things, I don’t like where the show appears to be going.

The Amazing Race S13.E11 You Look Like Peter Pan
Well another season of Amazing Race is over. I am happy with Nick and Starr ended up winning the 13th season of the Amazing Race. I have to say though that it wasn’t much of a surprise. Ken and Tina, and Toni and Dallas were their only threats the entire season and neither of them were consistent enough to have a chance of beating them. It should also come as no surprise to anyone that Dan and Andrew got third place. At least they made light of the situation. They will also be known as the team with the most second to last performance in a single season of the show.
One thing I do feel bad about is that Toni and Dallas weren’t able to make it to the final mat. It turns out they mixed making it to the finish line because they weren’t able to get another passport (after losing theirs last week) in time to return to the USA in time for the finale of the season. It’s too bad since Toni and Dallas were good racers and it’s too bad they weren’t able to see Nick and Starr finish in first since they were friends on the race.
While this has been a decent season of Amazing Race, some things need to be changed for next season. First there has to be more likable teams. I ended up only liking three teams the entire season. Probably an even bigger change is that they actually need to get good racing teams next year. There were really only three teams that were actually at least somewhat good at the race. Everyone else made mistake after mistake making this probably the most mistake prone season in the show’s history. You just have to look at Dan and Andrew actually making the final leg to realize how bad the teams truly were this season.
The Simpsons S20.E8 The Burns and the Bees
Overall a pretty decent episode of the Simpsons. Except for the WALL-E (who is a strange green and pink in the Simpsons universe) reference and when Burns was thrown out of the Billionaires camp (since he was $4 million of being a billionaire) the episode really wasn’t that funny. I thought the bee story was pretty boring and was indicative of how the Simpsons shows from time to time that the show is starting to run out of ideas for episodes.
