Desperate Housewives S5.E9 Me and My Town
This season of Desperate Housewives has been a surprise but I thought last night’s episode was a disappointment. None of the stories were that interesting despite being the episode after “the big fire”. The highlight of the night had to be the drugged of Bree trying to do a cooking demonstration. I also liked the Gaby and Carlos storyline especially since I don’t think the show could have come up with much more to do with Carlos while still blind.
The other storylines were pretty boring though. I don’t really care either way about Katherine and Mike. I also thought Lynette and Porter’s storyline was only decent. I think the storyline will pick up though especially since Porter will be arrested pretty soon thanks to Dave covering up for himself.
Quotes:
Susan: “Don’t go by me. I have a wierd metabolism.”
Orson: My death will have the same affect.”
Bree: “Can’t this wait till after my nap.”
Carlos: “We always accept charity.”
Brothers and Sisters S3.E9 Unfinished Business
I thought last night’s Brothers and Sisters was solid. The problem was that none of the stories really stood out. As a matter of fact the best part of the episode was when the family tried to remodel Nora’s charity house even though none of them really knew what they were doing.
The other stories were pretty boring though. At this point I am getting pretty sick and tires of the adoption storyline for Kitty and Robert. I don’t really care what the outcome is. I just want them to make a decision instead of just dancing around the idea. Meanwhile Sara’s storyline was decent but it got me to thinking about why it seems like Steven Weber almost makes an appearance on an ABC show every week. If ABC likes Steven Weber so much why don’t they just give him a show of his own.
Quotes:
Kevin: “I would love to see the good room.”
Business Partner: “He’s here to get into your pants.”
Kevin: “Does anyone know how much asbestos is too much?”
Kevin: “It looks like you’re staying at mom’s.”
Robert: “I live for pulling carpets.”
Business Partner: “What are we? The Taco Bell Chihuahua?”
Kitty: “That must have been a dousy of a kiss for a million dollars.”
The Amazing Race S13.E10 You’re Gonna Get Me Killed
All I can say is WOW. First Dallas makes one of the biggest blunders by losing all the teams money and passports. Then the even more surprising news is that Andrew and Dan actually made the final three. What is so shocking about this is that Dan and Andrew are probably the worst (or at least one of the worst) teams to ever make it to the final leg. I still can’t believe they made it this far especially since the only reason they moved on from leg to leg was that one other team made a colossal mistake each week. I don’t mind Dan and Andrew (they are easily the funniest team this season) but I just can’t support them winning the race since based on their racing ability I don’t even think they should have made it this far.
So we’re down to our final three. At this point I think Nick and Starr are easily the favorites to win the race. They have had one bad leg the entire race and except for that leg they have easily been the most consistent of the final three teams. Ken and Tina have a chance at winning but they really need to have one of their best legs. As far as Dan and Andrew’s chances are concerned they are either going to have to be extremely lucky or the other two teams are going to have to crash and burn for Dan and Andrew to win.
The Simpsons S20.E7 Mypods and Boomsticks
Last night’s episode of the Simpsons was hit and miss. The first positive was the couch gag this week which involved Bart taking “the chalkboard” home. I wonder why this actually wasn’t used earlier since it was pretty funny. I also enjoyed the “Mapple” storyline. I personally am not a huge fan of Apple. It was good that for once someone poked fun at Apple. I also thought it was hilarious when Comic Book Guy recreated the classic Super Bowl Mac commercial when he threw the hammer through the screen.
While these two storylines were funny, I thought Homer’s/Bart’s storyline was stupid. I don’t know if it is just me but the storyline of thinking someone is a terrorist is getting old. It is actually sad that The Simpsons had to resort to such an overused storyline.
Quotes:
Krusty: “Maybe someone at Old Navy will get me started.”
Bart (about lamb): “All these years I have been petting them when I should have been eating them.”
Bully: “I love a kid that comes with directions.”
Bully: “Oh help me oh might Moe.”
Moe: “Then you Jack Bauer him.”
Homer: “We’re the more powerful country for the next few years.”
