S1.E18 Much ‘I Do’ About Nothing (5/19/2008): Lily and Bart go through with the wedding. Chuck finally wins over Blair and they plan to go to Europe but Chuck backs out at the last moment because he is afraid of commitment. Nate’s father skips town in order to avoid the government who has enough evidence to convict him. Jenny gets an internship with Elenore. Rufus goes on tour with his band. Dan with Blair’s help gets rid of Georgina but that doesn’t help. The damage has already been done so Dan and Serena break up.
S2.E1 Summer, Kind of Wonderful (9/1/2008): Full Episode Recap. Chuck tries to win Blair back but fails when he can’t tell Blair that he loves her. Blair moves onto another guy named Marcus (who is royalty). Nate ends up sleeping with an older woman named Catherine who happens to be married. Jenny gets her foot in the door in the fashion industry with her internship with Elenore. Rufus returns home from his tour. Dan and Serena both tried to move on during the summer but they end up getting back together and spend the night together on the beach.
S2.E2 Never Been Marcused (9/8/2008): Full Episode Recap. Dan and Serena get back together. Blair continues her relationship with Marcus who turns out to be the step son of Catherine. Catherine doesn’t approve of Blair at first but when Blair sees Catherine and Nate together she quickly changes her mind. Catherine ends up paying off Nate in order to stay with her. Rufus returns home for good even though he misses being on tour.
S2.E3 The Dark Knight (9/15/2008): Full Episode Recap. Dan and Serena end up getting into a fight and breaking up when they realize that they just can’t get over their differences. Blair is sick of Marcus not being romantic with her. She ends up kissing Chuck and Marcus sees her. Marcus finally realizes that he has to be more romantic and kisses Blair. Nate wants to continue his relationship with Vanessa but Catherine gets in the way. Vanessa ends up ending the relationship when Catherine tells her that she will turn over Nate’s father if he leaves her. Jenny initially gets fired from her internship until Elenore realizes how talented she truly is.
