S2.E11 “Chuck Versus Santa Claus” (12/15/08): While Chuck, Ellie, Awesome, and the rest of the Buy More gang are at the store preparing for “Christmas Rush,” a car that was part of a car chase crashes through the doors. Ned, the guy driving the car, is a down-on-his luck dad who just wants to buy his kids some presents. He forces Chuck to lock down the store and disable the security system. The local cops and a hostage negotiating unit arrive. Meanwhile, Sarah and Casey carefully infiltrate the store but don’t give up their cover to Chuck’s family and friends. Ned sees them sneak in and accidentally shoots Casey in the foot.
During down time, Chuck gives Sarah his mom’s lucky charm bracelet. Hostage negotiator Mauser gets Ned to agree to let him in the store. Ned lets two hostages go, Sarah and the injured Casey. Just as they leave, Chuck flashes on Mauser and realizes that he is Fulcrum. Ned is working with him. They knew the government was protecting an important asset there, they just didn’t know who it was. Mauser demands to know where Bryce Larkin (and thus the intersect) are. Chuck tells him he’s dead but he doesn’t believe him. When Mauser threatens to shoot Ellie, Chuck reveals that he is the intersect.
Chuck says goodbye to Ellie (and tells Awesome, who wanted to take Ned down earlier, to make a move) before Mauser escorts him to an ambulance. Casey and Sarah figure out that Ned is Fulcrum and go to rescue Chuck. Sarah shoots the ambulance’s tires out and Chuck escapes into a Christmas tree lot. Mauser chases after and Sarah pursues.
The Buy More employees bravely take down Ned but Anna doesn’t notice Morgan helped. She thanks Lester and he kisses her. Anna is grossed out by the kiss but Morgan thinks he has lost her. At the tree lot, Sarah gets Mauser at gunpoint. He threatens to tell everyone that Chuck is the intersect so Sarah has no choice but to kill him. All Chuck sees though is Sarah killing an unarmed man. He realizes that she is a cold-blooed killer especially after she lies and says that she arrested him.
