S4.E13 “Fire in the Ice” (1/22/2009): Bones and Booth investigate the murder of a local volunteer firefighter. Booth is the prime suspect since he had a fight with the victim before he was killed. S4.E12 “Double Trouble in the Panhandle” (1/22/2009): In order to investigate the murder of conjoined twins, Booth and Bones end up going undercover at the circus. At the circus Bones and Booth pretend to be a knife throwing act. While investigating the the circus they determine that the conjoined twins were killed when they accidentally fell off the trapeze wire. The circus covered up their deaths in order to avoid the circus being shut down. Eric’s Thoughts
S4.E2 “Yanks in the UK (2)” (September 3, 2008): Just before Bones and Booth are about to leave England, they get the call that the British anthropologist that they worked with in the previous case was found dead. Even though murder isn’t suspected, Bones finds evidence that suggests otherwise. The anthropologist was bribed 25,000 pounds to give a dig site the okay. When artifacts from the Bronze Age were found, he wanted to give the money back but one of his students didn’t want to and killed him to stop him. In America, Cam Berimbau is about to leave but Cam winds up sleeping with him. Angela and Hodgins don’t take this well at first but eventually forgive her. However, the two realize they still have trust issues and Angela thinks that if you can’t trust your partner 100%, you shouldn’t marry them. She breaks things off with Hodgins. Full Recap
S4.E1 “Yanks in the UK (1)” (September 3, 2008): Both Bones and Booth lecture classes in England and are drawn into the case of a murdered American heiress. It turns out that her father (a wealthy American) isn’t her father after all. In fact, she was the daughter of British royalty. The royal British family’s butler killed the heiress when he found out. At the lab, Angela’s estranged husband Berimbau returns to the picture. Even though he thinks he wants to stay with Angela, he eventually agrees to sign the divorce papers. Full Recap
