Episode Synopsis: A high-rolling Wall Street broker burns down his own stable to kill off his underperforming racehorses. The Leverage team goes to Kentucky to help the heartbroken horse trainer who has lost everything and who also happens to be the father of Eliot’s high school sweetheart.
Review: As you know from my review of the first two episodes of “Leverage,” I absolutely love the series and actually named it my favorite new show of the season. While the third episode isn’t quite as good as the first two, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. The week’s job is the main reason the episode wasn’t quite as good. I’ve always thought horse racing was boring and this episode didn’t change my mind. On the positive side, the show adds yet another intriguing character in Sterling, Nate’s former colleague at the insurance firm he used to work for. He is just as smart as Nate and serves as a wonderful foil for him.
