Growing up in the 1990’s I grew up during the Power Rangers peak. Even thought the Power Rangers were quite popular in the 1990’s I was never really a fan and I doubt I ever even watched a Power Rangers episode. After getting a preview copy of Power Rangers RPM Volume 2 I still can’t say I am much of fan of Power Rangers.

Volume 2 of Power Rangers RPM contains episodes six through ten of season 17. After the events of volume one the Power Rangers are still out to stop the Venjix Computer Network from taking over the world’s communication and defense systems. With the help of Dr. K’s high-tech Racing Performance Machines, the Power Rangers need to battle the Venjix Computer Network from the domed city of Corinth.

As the description should have made quite clear, Power Rangers is mostly for children. It is a children’s show after all. Unless you were a huge fan of Power Rangers as you were growing up, I really doubt you will enjoy volume 2 if you are an adult. The show is simplistic and is just not very entertaining for adults.

What makes the show not that great for adults actually makes it pretty good for children. Since the show is mostly gauged towards children a lot of children should enjoy the show. It is simplistic so children will have no trouble understanding what is going on. I am guessing boys will enjoy it more than girls but I am guessing some girls will enjoy Power Rangers RPM as well.

The two volumes from my standpoint are both very similar. I really didn’t find either to be really entertaining but I do think both can be enjoyable for children.

It was disappointing that this volume has no special features. While it only had five episodes, I think something could have been added for those who purchased the DVD. Maybe a DVD game since it is a children’s DVD after all. While it is not a deal breaker, it is disappointing.

This is the second volume of Power Rangers RPM. Since RPM isn’t being released in a complete season set people who would like to see the show must purchase the volume sets. It’s actually not a terrible idea anyway for parents that don’t know if their children will like the show. Parents can pick up the first volume and see if their children like the show before purchasing the second volume.

Power Rangers RPM just was not for me. I was never much of a Power Rangers fan and I am still not one. If you were and are still a Power Rangers fan you probably will enjoy the second volume of Power Rangers RPM if you are an adult. Otherwise this DVD should only be purchased for children. If your children enjoyed the first volume I would recommend picking up the second volume as well.
