Since the first ninja special was so popular the mythbusters decided to have another ninja special (this time they even get an actual ninja).They test two new ninja myths and one myth that fans just won’t give up on.
Catching an Arrow-Even though the Mythbusters already busted the myth of being ableto catch an arrow the fans are satisfied so Adam and Jaime decide to bust it once again. This time they actually get the best ninja in the world as far as catching speeding objects. They first test his catching ability with tennis balls and he ends up catching almost every ball which is many more than Adam does when he is pelted by tennis balls. They then test the ninja’s skills with arrows. The ninja designates where he wants the arrows and the speed though so this is not ideal conditions. He does show that it is possible to catch an arrow. When he is faced with multiple archers and full speed arrows he barely catches any arrows and would have been dead many times over before he caught a single arrow. Before busting the myth they do test whether a ninja can deflect an arrow and kill an archer before they can load another arrow and the is proven true. Since the ninja would have died before he actually caught an arrow the Mythbusters once again bust this myth.
1 Inch Punch-Before letting the ninja go home the Mythbusters test the 1 inch punch myth which involves being able to knock someone out with a punch that only travels one inch. It is determined that the punch doesn’t have the strength of a normal punch but does have enough strength to possibly knock someone to the ground so this myth become plausible.
Underwater Blow Dart-Grant, Tory, and Kari test whether a ninja aasasin could hide in a body of water and successfully kill someone with a poisoned blowdart. First Tory becomes the test subject to see how long someone could wait underwater and not get hypothermia. If turns out that they could stay underwater for about an hour. They then test how accurate you can be with a dart gun while underwater. Refraction messes up your aim but it is determined that you can aim well enough to hit a target. They finally test whether you could breath out of the dart gun while it is armed. It is determined that you could so this myth is plausible since every part of the myth could be done.
