In this episode Earl helps Joy in order to cross her off his list for costing her a hot tub years earlier. Joy was going to model at a hot tub sale and get a free hot tub but Earl ended up burning her hair off when his cigarette ignited her hairspray. Earl runs into a hottub on the side of the road and gives it to Joy. It turns out that Homeless Joe was living in it though so Joy gets a flesh eating virus on her toe. Darnell forces her to stay in a bubble room since he is afraid he will be infected as well. Since Joy is stuck in the room she forces Earl to do all her chores.
While doing the chores Earl finds out that Joy’s kids have no friends at school. WHen he investigates he finds out that none of the other kid’s parents want them around since they think Joy is a bad influence. Since Joy is trapped in the bubble, one of the parents let the boys come to her daughter’s party. Earl accidently lets this slip to Joy and she breaks out of her bubble in order to make the other parents pay. When she gets to the park though she stays in the car when she sees how happy her kids are now that they are able to play with the other kids.
