Overall I thought the first episode of the fourth season of Earl was pretty good. That was probably at least partially due to Seth Green being in the episode. I have liked Seth Green ever since playing Oz on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also liked that the episode had a good lesson for life in general since I have always believed that you should live life to the fullest.

In this episode Earl helps out Buddy (played by Seth Green). One night Earl was drunk and ended up hiding a pony home. The pony was supposed to be used in the next day’s parade where Buddy was going to ride it in a parade thanks to Make a Wish. Earl heads over to Buddy’s house and is surprised when he finds out that he is still alive.
Buddy is a huge film buff and he has always wanted to make his own movie. Earl decides to help him make his film about a secret agent who stops some killer octopusses and saves the United States. The whole gang helps him out but quit when he becomes too picky and bossy. Buddy decides to cut his movie short and edits it together for his movie premiere. Earl has a premiere party for Buddy but he ends up not coming since he actually died shortly after finishing his film. Buddy was still suffering from the disease that he had as a child and it eventually ended his life. Buddy’s mother thanks Earl for all his help since he helped Buddy realize all his dreams. Earl and the other Camden County residents learn from Buddy to live every day like it’s your last and try what you always wanted to do.
