This episode is broken up into a future and present part so for the recap I will be breaking down the storylines into these two parts.
Future
Future Peter takes Present Peter 4 years into the future. When they arrive Claire kills future Peter. Present Peter gets away though. Claire tracks down Peter to Sylar’s house. Sylar has now become a family man and has a son. He gives Peter his ability while warning him of the side effects. Claire, Daphne and Benjamin (one of the escaped convicts) show up at the house and end up killing Sylar’s son while they try and catch Peter. This angers Sylar so much that he explodes wiping out all the surrounding area. Peter is captured but teleports back to the present after killing Nathan. Meanwhile we find out that Daphne and Matt have started a family. Mohinder has become some type of mutant. Nathan ends up becoming President again and Tracy is his first lady.
Present
Hiro and Ando are eventually let go from their sector five cell but Angela has them retrieve Adam from the grave he was buried alive in. Adam is far from happy with Hiro and starts strangling him. Mohinder can’t find a cure for his condition and his mood swings lead him to beat up one of his neighbors that is beating his wife. Tracy finds out from doctor from the last episode that she is one of three clones that he was forced to give abilities to. Tracy is depressed with her life and tries ending it but Nathan saves her. They tell each other of their abilities and they end up kissing. Matt continues his pointless storyline as he sees some of what will happen in the future.
Overall another good episode of Heroes but I am having some problems with the season long storylines this season. I honestly don’t know why Hiro needs to keep being given stupid storylines. He is easily the best character on the show but the writers keep giving him stupid storylines. Hopefully this will change soon. I also say that the show needs to actually do something with Matt’s character or they really need to either write him off or kill him. He has never really had any good storylines. I like Greg Grunberg but if the writers can’t actually come up with some storylines for him they need to let his character go. Along with that I think Nathan needs to go as well unless the show is willing to give him a storyline that doesn’t lead to him eventually becoming president. How many times is the future going to have to change before he doesn’t become president.
One storyline that I actually like is Sylar’s. At first I didn’t like the idea of him becoming good but how things are going I am actually starting to like the idea. They eventually had to kill him or turn him good since he couldn’t be evil forever and not be killed. Hopefully they don’t make him too sappy though. He can be a good character but I want him to keep at least some of his dark character that he had when he was evil.
