For a while during last night’s episode I was actually starting to believe that the old Grey’s Antomy was finally back. It’s been a while hasn’t it been. George is back to his normal self (about time by the way). The gang is also kindof back together which is a good thing in my opinion. As far as the cases were concerned they weren’t anything special but it is good to see the show get back to more of it’s roots after two subpar seasons.
We’ll first begin with the new developments outside the hospital. Derek gets adjusted to living at Meredith’s when he finds Meredith’s mother’s diary. Meredith doesn’t take it well at first but eventually decides to look at it. Meanwhile Izzie and Alex continue to fight. Callie and Hahn finally go on their first date. Callie freaks out until she realizes that Hahn wants to take things slow as well. In my opinion I don’t really care either way that this relationship goes. I just want the show to just chose what it wants to do with the relationship. It has only been three episodes since the kiss and the show has still barely done anything with the relationship. Finally George passes his intern exam and essentially abandons Lexie in order to party with the other residents. I don’t know if it just me but I hope that the show eventually puts George and Lexie together.
Meanwhile at the hospital. Christina is forced to work in the clinic. Her patient has some skin condition which forces Christina to head to the dermatology center. Christina actually falls in love with it since it is so calm and peaceful. She quickly gets sick of it though since it is too boring for her. Meanwhile Izzie and Alex fight over a patient who has to have brain surgery. They both play dirty in order to get the surgery but Izzie eventually gets it. Finally George and Meredith’s patient is a young boy who doesn’t want to have surgery. George ends up calming him down by showing him that the surgery isn’t dangerous.
