TAPS heads to Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana. The place was used for the movie “Interview with the Vampire” and a lot of slaves had worked at the place in the past. Barry Fitzgerald from “Ghost Hunters International” joins the team for a week. There have been reports of a woman in black in the main hallway and a shadow outside. Nobody likes to go into the attic because they quickly get scared.
Jason and Grant start on the second floor and get a thermal hit. At first I thought this was just a reflection of Jason because it seemed to move whenever he did. However, Grant goes out to see if the thermal would pick him up outside and neither investigator was caught on the camera.
Steve and Tango check out the dining room. Steve feels someone standing next to him. He moved his elbows back and thought he was going to wind up elbowing someone. Jason and Grant head to the lavender room (where the person believed to be haunting the place died). Grant sees a shadow on the bed then both see something peering in from outside. They check to see if anyone is there but nobody is.
Barry and Kris get a K2 meter hit in the parlor but not much else. Barry even tries to talk about Paris (the original owners were from France) but no luck. Kris and Kristyn do some EVP work in the lavender room and Kristyn thinks she sees the door move about three inches (according to the tapes, it didn’t).
Jason and Grant head to the attic and find that the stairs are crooked, giving the location a funhouse effect. Also, the fifteenth stair (where the client starts getting freaked out) is right where you hit a wall of heat from the attic. Barry and Joe investigate the second floor and Barry’s back is hit by something. The K2 meter goes crazy nearby then vanishes when the EMF detector is brought out.
Jason and Grant set up a flashlight in the lavender room. Both feel a ton of cold spots then the flashlight turns on. Jason heads over to it and feels a cold spot nearby and the flashlight itself is quite cool. However, he explains to us that the flashlight is unscrewed so the entity just has to tap it.
Evidence: The only real evidence presented was a very odd sliding sound, which may have been metal or electronic. Jason thinks he hears boots just before it as well. The thermal hit is also presented as are tons of personal experiences. Jason and Grant also provide the client an alternate explanation for the attic.
