Missed Last Night’s Episode?: Eli Stone - Eli Stone, Season 2 - Owner of a Lonely Heart, ABC.com

While last night’s Eli Stone wasn’t the greatest episode of the series there were a couple things that stood out to make it a good episode. The one thing I am worrying about is how the show plans on wrapping up the rest of the series. There aren’t many episodes left and I would prefer that the show has a good conclusion since it is the type of show that really deserves a good ending. After the break I will look at the latest episode of Eli Stone and inform you of an Easter egg in the episode if you are a fan of a particular CW show.

So what’s this Easter egg I’m talking about. For those of you who are Reaper fans you probably picked up on this but for those of you who didn’t there was a reference to the show in this week’s episode. While it was pretty minor, if you paid attention this week’s client worked at the Work Bench and even wore the uniform made famous by the characters of Reaper. While you would think this was a wierd pairing since Eli talks to God while Sam works for the Devil, the reason this little crossover happened was because a show runner from both shows are actually married which makes it pretty easy for such a crossover to occur.

All you Eli Stone fans that aren’t Reaper fans (you should be a fan by the way) you are probably sick of me talking about such a little crossover. I really like when little crossovers like this happen though for die hard television shows. Enough on that so let’s get to this week’s episode.

The main storyline focused on Eli and Keith defending a young woman who is being charged as a terrorist for having possession of nuclear material. First of all I want to know how the government can find her when she was using the nuclear materials for positive things. What did one of the neighbors see er house glowing or something and call the authorities.

While the last couple of episodes have kind of had some bad cases, I actually liked this case. The main reason I liked the case is that it had future ramifications. This seasons cases have really gotten away from Eli’s mission to make the world a better place in the future and that is probably the main reason this season isn’t as good as the first season.

Meanwhile this season had two subplots. One I hated while the other I thought was decent. The first was Jordan’s divorce and Taylor finding out that Jordan was cruel to her mother in his first divorce. I didn’t like this storyline. While I probably would have liked the storyline more if there were more episodes left, I don’t like it now that the series is coming to a conclusion because I don’t really want the two characters fighting through most of the remaining episodes.

The other subplot involved Eli’s love life. He finally gets a love life after getting the visions and when he tells her the truth about his visions she ends up dumping him. Eli really doesn’t have much luck with the ladies, does he? Hopefully in the series finale Eli finally finds someone (Maggie preferably) since Eli really deserves some happiness after everything he has done for others who needed his help.

Finally for the episode cliffhanger, Eli meets with Dr. Chen’s rival in order to have a procedure done in order to see the future. Instead of finally seeing a vision of his own vision he gets to see Nathan’s future come crashing down when his finance calls off their engagement. Why can’t the Stones have any luck?

So what are your thoughts on last night’s Eli Stone? What do you want to see in the final few episodes of Eli Stone?
