I thought this was only an average episode of Criss Angel Mindfreak. The problem with the episode is that none of the tricks/illusions really stood out to me. They weren’t bad but none of them were special or original in my opinion. If I had to pick a favorite stunt of the episode I would have to pick the stunt with the car card shooter. I seriously want to know why anyone would put a cardshooter in thier car. I wonder if it is even legal to be driving a car with a card shooter on the front of it. Another question I have is how many cars and motorcycles does Criss Angel have. I would guess the number is pretty near 50. I bet he doesn’t enjoy these high gas prices despite having plenty of money to pay for it. Enough of me rambling on about Criss’ cars. Let’s get to the recap.
The Car Card Shooter
Criss heads to one of his car dealers where he picks up his new Hummer which for some reason has a card shooter attached to the front of it. Criss has around 4 to 5 decks of card stacked one on top of another. He has someone pick a card. He then has the card put back into the pile. The pile of cards are then put into the card shooter. The cards are shot out of the vehicle and Criss catches one of them with a throwing knife. It turns out that the card is the one that the person picked. I have really no idea how Criss did this stunt but I can bring up that the five decks really don’t make a difference on this stunt. There are more cards but there are also more of the card that the person picked. With the increased amount of cards and the increased amount of the card that was picked the five decks are canceled out.
The Arrow Catch
In this stunt Chris tries to catch an arrow from Ted Nugent who is supposedly a great marksman. Before he shoots the arrow Criss has him put a red tail on the arrow so he can see it better. Ted Nugent shoots the arrow and actually shoots Criss through the stomach. Criss isn’t harmed though since the arrow passes right through him. Obviously this whole thing was set up since as Criss said earlier Ted Nugent is a great marksman. As far as the arrow is considered I think I saw something that looked like an arrow fall to the side of Criss Angel.
Criss the Teacher
This stunt is actually not performed by Criss. It is actually performed by Dana White (UFC President). Supposedly Dana White learned the trick through Criss’ dvd (nice plug for one of your products Criss). Dana has an audience member pick a card and then place it back into the deck. The deck is cut several times. Dana then blindfolds himself and has the audience member guide his hands over the cards and Dana stabs one of them with a knife. It is the card that was picked. My guess with this trick is that a personally is naturally going to guide a person to the right card so when the audience member was moving his hands over the cards they might have stopped on their card or something.
Bugging Out
In this trick Criss meets some people in the park and he talks about people getting nervous. He then tells the people that he has a perfect way of releasing butterflies. He uses a knife and cuts into his stomach. Butterflies then fly out of his stomach. Obviously Criss must have been wearing a pouch or patch of some sort on his stomach. It obviously wasn’t his own skin since he didn’t bleed at all. Unless Criss is an undead zombie with no blood he obviously didn’t cut into his stomach.
Trapped in a Barrel Drum
While at his car dealer (The Count) Criss is put up to a challenge. A wager is put on whether Criss could escape from a barrel drum. Criss agrees to do it up The Count changes things up when he welds a manhole cover on the barrel. The Count thinks he has finally got the better of Criss but Criss escapes within 45 seconds. Criss wins the bet and gets a motorcycle for free that he is going to auction off to charity. There were two fishy things that really stood out to me. First the welding was suspicious. The welder only welded at three or four points on the barrel. There is no guarentee that he even welded it in the first place. The second suspicious things is when the Count and his worker kept banging on the drum. It was supposed to be for teasing Criss but I think it was used to cover his escape.
So what did you think of the episode. Do you have any ideas how any of the illusions were performed? If you have an idea feel free to leave a comment with your ideas since your guesses are as good as mine.

Yea!!! I was on this episode. I was in the Hummer/card shooter demo. Sooo cool.
I should say, as much as I appreciated reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose attention after a while. It’s as if you had an excellent grasp on the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Maybe you should consider this from more than 1 position. Or probably you shouldn’t generalise so very much. It’s better if you take into consideration what other people may have to say as opposed to just going for a gut reaction to the topic. Think about adjusting your own notion procedure and giving other people who may go through this the benefit of the doubt.
