Overall Chuck vs the Cougars was a good episode but one thing kept it from being a great episode, Nicole Richie. If this episode was any indication, Nicole Richie has no future whatsoever in acting. She was downright terrible and single handly kept this episode from being great. She was given a good character and she totally blew it. I have never really liked stunt casting but Chuck had done pretty well with it so far this season. Obviously they dropped the ball this week. The only scene that was actually good (that Nicole Richie was in) was the final fight scene and most of the time it was her stunt double. I know one thing for sure. Nicole Richie better not ever be on one of my favorite shows ever again.
Even though Nicole Richie almost destroyed the episode I still thought it was pretty good. It was nice to finally find out some background information on Sara. The episode revolved around Sara’s high school reunion. She runs into two of her classmates, Mike and Heather (Nicole Richie). Chuck ends up flashing on Mike so Chuck and Sara are forced to go to diner with them. At diner Mike is beat up by some Russains in the bathroom but Casey ends up saving him. It turns out that Mike has been forced to give up some government secrets since some Russains have threatened to kill Heather (his wife).
They end up setting up a meeting at Sara’s reunion. At the reunion Casey knocks out the Russains sent to kill Mike. Sara also discovers that Heather was behind the whole thing. They end up getting into a fist fight which leads to a big fight in the high school shower. Sara eventually knocks her out. Before they can leave the reunion, Sara ends up winning queen of the reunion which is a surprise since she was a nerd in high school. Or was she. We find out that Sara and her father were conmen and when her father was arrested she was recruited to join the FBI.
Meanwhile at the Buy More, Lester is put in charge of the store. Lester comes up with a new selling strategy which essentially has everyone selling products below their retail price. At the end of the day Lester realizes he made a mistake when the store has a lot less money than it should have. The Buy More ends up having a party in order to raise the money. In the process Big Mike’s fish is ruined once again. Lester and the employees make up all the money they lost and Big Mike has no knowledge of what happened. Lester decides that management isn’t for him anymore. Maybe Chuck can finally be the manager like he should have been in the first place?
