I actually thought this was one of the better episodes of the season. I thought the case was interesting as well as the quest to find who burned him. I actually really liked Seymour and hop he makes a future appearance on the show. Silas Weir Mitchel definently knows how to play a disturbed man. Too bad he will probably be playing crazy people for the rest of his career. The best part of the episode though was Michael pretending to be a panicking, wimpy, nerd. It nice to see Michael pretend to be something other than a tough guy. Hopefully we will see Michael impersonate new types of characters in the future.
Gerrard the Drug Pirate
Virgil (from the season one episode Unpaid Debts) shows up at Michael’s apartment and asks Michael for his help. He needs Michael to help one of his old friends daughter. The daughter (Marcela) works for a charity organization that transports drug to third world countries in order to help children. Her latest shipment was stolen by some men though. Sam finds a local drug dealer in the area. Michael and Virgil intimidate the drug seller and gets him to turn on one of his sellers Gerrard.
Sam decides to introduce himself to Gerrard first. He heads to his club and quickly makes friends with Gerrard. Sam introduces himself as a man who buys and sells a bunch of drugs. Sam tries to buy the drugs Gerrard stole from Marcela but they have already been sold (haven’t been transported yet though). Sam decides that Michael needs to go undercover to find their warehouse. Sam comes up with a heist where he hires Gerrard to steal some steroids for him (Virgil will be driving the boat). Sam tells Gerrard that he needs help from Michael (who know works at a pharmaceutical company) in order to keep the drugs safe during transport.
Gerrard approaches Michael and threatens him into helping them (Michael is pretending to be a weak nerdy type character). Michael tries to get info about their storage area but Gerrard refuses to tell him anything. Michael isn’t allowed to leave the compound until the heist is completed so Michael sneaks messages to Fiona and Sam by pretending that he needs to call in sick at work and Fiona accidently crashing into Gerrard’s car.
Sam and Virgil makes the steroids out of energy drinks and uses Michael’s fridge to transport them in the boat. Michael, Gerrard and his men head toward the boat and just before they get there Gerrard tells his men that they are going to kill everyone on board the boat. When they take over the boat, Michael tells Virgil to play dumb. Michael gets into a fight with Virgil and pretends to shoot him. Virgil waits under the water until Gerrard and his men leave.
Michael and Gerrard’s men take the drugs to an office storage building. They put the drugs into a freezer and Michael tries to get info out of them about where the drugs they stole from Marcela are. Gerrard tells him that they have their drugs dispersed throughout the storage building. Since Michael doesn’t know for sure where they are they need to keep up the plan.
Michael and Sam decide to get Gerrard to move the drugs. Michael tells Gerrard that they are in trouble. He tells them about Sam’s cover character (Chuck) and how he kills everyone he works with. Michael tells Gerrard that they will need to move their drugs or Chuck will steal them and then kill them. Gerrard ends up heading to the warehouses to move the drugs before Chuck can get them. They start removing the drugs and Michael finds the drugs they stole from Marcela. Sam (as Chuck) then shows up in a large truck. Gerrard and his men start panicking since they think Chuck is going to kill them. Gerrard and his men shoot up the truck (Sam is out of it by this time). While they are distracted Michael disarms several of Gerrard’s men. Michael then proceeds to explode the truck to distract Gerrard’s men while he drives away with the drugs. Michael gets away just as the police are showing up. Gerrard and his men are arrested. Michael, Sam, and Virgil are thanked for their help from Marcela. Virgil also gets to take Madeline out to diner even though Michael tried to keep them apart for the rest of the episode.
Seymour the Arms Dealer
Fiona takes Michael to meet with her arms dealer, Seymour. Michael tries to ask him about the sniper rifle that Carla’s men recently stole. Michael isn’t able to ask him since Seymour gets into an arms deal went wrong. The arms dealers ends up shooting at them and they have to outrun the buyers. Michael meets with Seymour again and tries to get some info out of him but ends up getting shot at again when another of Seymour’s deals go wrong. Michael finally gets Seymour to look for a store in the area that would modify the sniper rifle that Michael helped steal for Carla’s men.
Michael and Fiona head to Seymour’s house, and Seymour catches them by surprise when he attacks them. Michael and Fiona eventually disarm him and his guard though. Seymour attacked them since he thought they got him in a bunch of trouble since the one sniper modification store he found was recently burned to the ground. It turns out that a man named Bill Johnsonbought the modifications and one modification was a fiberoptic camera for the sniper rifle. Michael starts worrying about what the organization is planning to do with the sniper rifle he helped steal.
