The Jewel Heist
A man shows up at Michael’s apartment and asks him for his help. Michael is suspicious of him and doesn’t even want to listen to him but he gives him one minute to explain his problem. The man (Trevor) used to be a getaway driver for theives. He recently got out of prison and wanted to get out of the crime business but his former boss won’t let him get out so quickly. Trevor tells Michael that there is going to be another jewel heist and he doesn’t want to do it. Michael doesn’t take the case until he brings up that he has a sone that he needs to take care of.
Michael and Sam check out a boathouse which is the hangout of the robbers. As they pull up to the boathouse Sam tells Michael about all the thieves. CJ is a hustler. Gilbert is the safe cracker. Kandi is the weapons expert. Finally Timo is the boss of the whole organization. Michael decides that their first hope is to try and get the heist called off. Since Timo only wants to do jobs with people he is familiar with Michael decides that they need to get one of his crew arrested. They target Gilbert since he has a long criminal past and it wouldn’t be hard to get him arrested again.
Fiona and Sam catch up to Gilbert at a restaurant. Fiona tries to get him drunk but he ignores her since he thinks she is part of an escort service. Since that isn’t working and there are police accross the street, Sam starts a fight with Gilbert. Sam gets beat up pretty bad before the police break up the fight and Gilbert is arrested.
Michael’s plan doesn’t work though since the heist is still on. Trevor tells Michael that Timo is looking for another safe cracker. Michael decides that he will have to be the safe cracker if there is anyway they are going to stop the job. Trevor recommends Michael to Timo and Timo agrees to meet with him. Michael works on his safecracking ability for some time and then he gets a call to meet Timo. Timo takes Michael to a conveince store, pays off the employee so there is no trouble, and then forces Michael to crack the safe to prove he knows his stuff. Michael pretends it is too easy for him and refuses to do it. He changes his mind when Timo pulls a gun on Trevor. Michael quickly cracks the safe showing his worth to the team.
Michael is taken back to the headquarters. Timo shows Michael the robbery plan. Michael tries to ask a bunch of questions but Timo only answers when the safe was installed. Trevor is held behind after the meeting. Trevor is actually told around where the robbery is going to take place since he has to place the getaway cars. Trevor has the location within 1/2 mile. With Michael’s knowledge of when the safe was installed, Sam is able to pinpoint where the robbery is going to take place.
Michael plans on tipping off the bank so the robbery is stopped but he can’t do that since CJ (member of the team) is actually working there undercover so Michael needs to be careful who he tells or CJ will find out. Michael is surprised when he is suddenly called by Timo. The robbery is pushed up and he only has 30 minutes to get ready. Michael sneaks a message to Sam and Fiona (drops a piece of paper on the ground). The robbery goes as planned as they all sneak into the building by pretending to be with the heating company. They subdue all the guards in the vault and Michael is set to crack the safe. He has 19 minutes to crack the safe. Michael pretends to start breaking into the safe. Outside Sam trips the silent alarm (Michael told him to do this in the not he dropped). Timo panicks and tells everyone to leave without the money. Everyone leaves by themselves in order to not cause a scene. Before Timo gets to his car to get away, Sam slashes his tires.
The rest of the gang returns to the boathouse and no one knows what happened. Timo doesn’t show up (due to the slashed tires) and Michael plants the idea in the other robber’s head that he planned the whole thing and took all the money for himself. This is topped off by the boathouse blowing up (Fiona sets off the explosion). This angers Kandi and she finds Timo and when Timo doesn’t give up the money (that he never actually got) she ends up killing him. Trevor thanks Michael for all his help since he doesn’t have to worry about being recruited again since his team is now disbanded.
Quest for the People Who Burned Him
Michael and Fiona spy on the house where Carla supposedly has a hideout (the address on the business card). Michael finally gets a hit when an older woman picks up the mail. Michael follows her to an office building. Michael quickly realizes that this must be where Carla’s headquarters are. Michael finds several guards (disguised of course). Michael sneaks into the building accross the street and he plants a web camera so he can spy on the building and find the weaknesses in the security. Sam ends up finding a gap in the security where all the guards are gone for a five minute period.
Michael tries to sneak into the building but his plan is ruined when he needs to rush back to the robbery case. Michael breaks into the building for a second time and finds it abandoned. He finds a digital photo frame on one of the desks that has several pictures of Michael trying to spy on Carla. Fiona leaves a taped message to taunt Michael some and also an envelope which contains another crossword that will lead Michael to his next mission.
Sam
Sam and Veronica go out for diner and Sam is shocked when Veronica asks him to marry her. Sam doesn’t know what to do. Sam asks Michael and Fiona for help but neither can really give him an answer. Sam truly loves Veronica but he can’t legally marry her yet since he is actually technically married (he was married in the 70’s and never got to getting a divorce). Fiona tells him to tell Veronica the truth. Sam ends up telling her the truth and she essentially throws him out so Sam has to stay with Michael.
