With Michael’s former fiance coming into town, I thought this week’s episode of Burn Notice had the potential to be a very good episode. It’s too bad that the episode was a disappointment. I liked Michael’s former fiance coming to town but the episode was once again lacking the classic Michael Weston that has been missing for a couple episodes now. Michael’s plans/job always involved some creativity on his part and that made Burn Notice unique. That creativity and humor that came from it has been lacking the last couple of episodes.

Despite a disappointing case I did like Michael’s former fiance. I thought her arrival in town brought some unique moments to the show. It was pretty funny to see how angry Madeleine and Fiona were when they found out that Michael was once engaged. I actually thought either of them could attack Michael or his former fiance at any time. We did find out from this week’s case that Michael and Fiona truly do care about one another. I think this will be a big storyline next season.

One thing that was a little strange about the episode is how Madeleine tend to agree to whatever Michael says without asking some questions. From the almost weekly babysitting tasks to be forced to move out of her house for a couple days, you would think Madeleine would eventually question Michael about what he gets into the situations that he seems to get into on a weekly basis.

Next week’s episode is the season finale of Burn Notice and I am a little torn about the episode. Burn Notice has hit a slump but hopefully the show can get out of it for the season finale. If USA is not misleading us (which I am guessing it is) the previews make it seem like we might finally get to meet the person who burned Michael. If they really do show us who burned Michael, the show is kind of taking a risk. The whole premise of the show was finding out who burned Michael. The show would have to go in a different direction if Michael finds out who burned him. I could see this as a positive though since the storyline has never really been the best part of the show in my opinion. Even if Michael did find out who burned him, there are plenty of other ideas they could pursue for a season long storyline. I am just going to throw this out there but I think Michael’s father burned Michael.

Your Take: What was your thoughts on last night’s episode? Would you like for Burn Notice to finally show us who burned Michael? Who do you think burned Michael?
