I don’t know what is was about last night’s episode of Burn Notice but something seemed off the entire episode. Burn Notice has had a great second season and has established itself as one of the best cable shows on television. It is disappointing though when the show has a bad episode. With two episodes left this season, hopefully Burn Notice can turn things around for a good conclusion to the second season.

Michael Finds His Attempted Murderer: Overall the conclusion to who tried to kill Michael was kind of a disappointment in my opinion. The storyline just seemed to jump to Michael almost catching his attempted murderer. What was weird about the scene was that the show made it seem like we should be familiar with Michael’s killer and yet I couldn’t even remember him. It turns out that the killer was Victor who hired Michael to help in a heist in the season two episode Bad Blood.

By the season finale I want some substantial movement towards who burned Michael. While I don’t want the storyline rushed, it is getting to the point where I think the writers are just coming up with more and more ways to delay the final reveal of who burned him. While Michael being burned was the original premise of the show, I personally think the show can survive after the storyline is solved. By the way I am putting my money on Michael’s supposedly dead father being the man who burned Michael. The show is bringing up Michael’s father way too much especially since he is supposedly dead. Unless Michael has a lot of daddy issues I don’t know why the show is spending so much time on his father.

The Haitian Killer: This week’s case was solid but it was lacking the creativity and ingenuity that Michael usually has in his cases. Besides throwing the killer off the balcony into the truck, this week’s episode was missing the true Michael Weston which means that he didn’t cleverly deceive the criminals. Hopefully the show can return to Michael’s creative plans next week since that is what makes Burn Notice such a great show.

Your Take: What are your thoughts on Victor being Michael’s hitman? Do you agree that this episode was missing the Michael Weston that we all love? Do you think that Michael’s father could really be responsible for Michael being burned?
