Overall I thought Everything Must Go was a pretty good episode of Brothers and Sisters. I actually really liked most of the storylines and I thought the storylines brought up some good future storylines. I was actually surprised that the Walker family could actually get through an entire garage sale without getting into a fight. I guess with the Walkers the only way they get into a huge fight is at diner. I guess the Walkers’ should just avoid family diners and most of their fighting will be eliminated.
As already mentioned the big storyline of the week was the family holding a garage sale. Nora needs to clear room in the house since she is starting a charity. She also needs some money to start up the charity. Nora ends up cleaning the garage and sells everything which includes all of William’s things. Justin tries to talk her out of it but she goes through with and regrets it afterward since she misses all the things she sold off. I don’t know if it is just me but I would never even think about getting rid of all that stuff. I don’t know how people can get rid of stuff so easily that has personal memories attached.
During the garage sale Tommy and Sara continue to fight. Julia eventually gets them talking again and they realize that they let the fight get out of hand. I am glad that the fight appears to be over since I was getting sick of the fight.
Kitty also has to help Robert find a replacement for Kitty as his communications director. Kitty can’t find anyone that fits Robert’s expectations. Kitty thinks she should just not write the book but Robert forces her too. Robert is just afraid that their relationship might hit rocky roads now that they aren’t working together anymore. Eventually Robert finds his perfect candidate in Kevin. Robert likes that Kevin speaks his mind and he wants Kevin so he can discuss politics. Kevin thinks it is a joke at first but he realizes that Robert is serious. I actually like the idea of Robert and Kevin working together. Their scenes together are almost always funny since they are so different. Do you like the possibility of Kevin and Robert working together?
Finally Holly tricks Rebecca into working for her as her secretary. They finally start getting along and Rebecca is finally going to give Holly a chance to redeem herself. She needs Holly to be honest with her though. Holly promises to be honest. Rebecca then finds a file on Ryan which makes her distrust her mother once again. At this point I don’t know what to think about Ryan. For those of you who haven’t heard, Brothers and Sisters is getting close to finding the actor who will play Ryan. The show is going to be hiring a pretty unknown actor to play Ryan. As with most unknown actors this could be big or could be a dud. I personally will wait to see what happens as the show closes in on finally revealing Ryan. Are you interested and excited about the addition of Ryan?
