Note: We are testing out a new way of recapping episodes this week. Since most people just watch the episode online if they missed it on TV, recaps are no longer as important. We think longer reviews containing just the most important information would be a better way to go. Do you agree? How do you think we could improve these episode reviews?
This week’s episode contained three main storylines. Rebeca and Justin both are having a hard taking “the next step” but eventually do. Holly also gives Rebecca all of her trust fund but Rebecca ends up giving it to Nora since she thinks it is dirty money and she never deserved it. After seeing what Rebeca has gone through Nora decides not to get Ryan involved but Holly ends up starting her search for Ryan. The final storyline involved Kitty and Robert having a family diner in order to impress the social worker so their adoption request goes through. Just like every Walker family diner things don’t go well. The family ends up getting into a big fight after they all end up reading what Kitty wrote about them in a book she is writing. The social worker ends up accepting Robert’s and Kitty’s request even with the fight. Robert eventually gets to reading the book and says that Kitty should pursue her writing career. Meanwhile the family gets over the book when they read the whole thing in context.
After two episodes of the third season I am starting to get a feeling that this is a rebound season for Brothers and Sisters. Last year was kind of a disappointment in my opinion. This year is improving since the show has finally realized that adding some humor does wonders for the show. Every Walker diner is prone for quite a few laughs as the Walker’s have to easily be the most messed up family around. The book storyline was easily the best of the night but I also enjoyed the Justin and Rebeca storyline since I like the couple. My only real problem is that Holly and Saul have pretty much nothing to do anymore on the show. I think they need to either write the characters off or actually give them some real storylines.
