Brothers and Sisters S3.E14 Owning It: abclogo

After three weeks off the air, Brothers and Sisters returned and it returned on a high point in my opinion. While this season has been on and off the entire season, this week’s episode was one of the high points of the season. With Kitty worrying about becoming a mother and Nora freaking out about dating a man in an open marriage, this week’s episode was full of laughs and had a lot of what makes the best Brothers and Sisters episodes.

Nora and the Married Man: Overall I thought this storyline was quite good. While it is pretty sad for Nora to finally fall for someone (who turns out to be married), the storyline did provide some laughs. The highlight of the storyline was when Nora asked Holly for advice on what to do when dating a married man. You must know that you have a problem if you are asking one of your husband’s mistresses what it is like to date a married man.

The Baby Shower: Chalk up another thing the Walker’s should never do together. Did anyone really expect them not to get into a fight at the baby shower? I still want to know how a family can be so close and yet never be able to get along when most or all of the family is together at some function. Nora’s over excitement over the shower was the highlight of the storyline.

Tommy’s Plan: All I can say about this storyline is that Tommy is an idiot. His plan to take over the company is just so stupid and I am guessing illegal. Did he really think no one would figure out his plan? My guess is someone will find out sooner rather than later (probably Rebecca) and that will be the reason why Tommy won’t be a regular any longer starting next season.

Rebecca and Justin: I don’t think the relationship has much staying power. They are already starting to fight and you know that is the first sign of any tv breakup. I guess we should have expected it not to last especially since very few relationships survive in the television world.

Saul and Henry: All I can say is that I am glad that Saul is finally getting a storyline. I don’t know how long his relationship with Henry will last though. John Glover (playing Henry) was only hired for a couple episodes so either they need to break up in a couple of episodes or Henry needs to just magically fade into the background like so many other television characters.

Ryan Finally Revealed: As had been hinted towards the entire season so far, we finally got to meet Ryan. I really don’t have an opinion of the character (since he had maybe a minute of screen time) but I have to say that I am glad that he has been finally revealed. This storyline has dragged on way too long. Maybe we can finally move forward with the storyline as Ryan meets the rest of the family. Let’s just hope for his sake that it isn’t at a famous Walker family diner since he definitely won’t have a good first impression if that is how he meets everyone.

Quotes:

Sarah: “I thought we agreed on no games.”

Sarah (about Nora sleeping with Roger): “Did you take your clothes off this time.”

Saul: “I find this e-vite thing annoying.”

Nora: “Sniff it Sarah.”
