armywifes4 Army Wives S2.E11 Mothers & Wives (August 18th, 2008)The Sherwood’s: Denise is having a hard time getting over Getti’s death. Frank tells Denise that he is sorry about her loss but he does have some doubts that they were just friends since he did see Denise kiss Getti’s hand. Frank talks with Jeremy and asks him if there is something wrong with Denise and he responds that he doesn’t notice anything different. Denise ends up getting a call from Getti’s father and he tells her that Getti truly loved her. This doesn’t make things easier for Denise. Michael ends up running into Frank at a bar and Frank asks him if he can go back to Iraq earlier than planned. Frank wants to leave since he thinks he is just making things worse when he is around Denise. Michael tells Frank that the only way he is going to save his marriage is if he stays and fights for it. Frank and Denise decide to try and save their marriage by going to marriage consoling.

The Holden’s: Claudia Joy’s mother (Charlotte) shows up in town and Claudia Joy starts to panic and starts cleaning everything in the house. Charlotte shows up at the house and Claudia Joy is surprised when her father isn’t with her. Charlotte says that her father is busy at work but it turns out that they (Claudia Joy’s mother and father) are having problems at home. Claudia Joy and Charlotte have a hard time talking to one another but when they finally open up Claudia Joy finds out that her father has a gambling problem and that her parents are in deep debt because of it.

The LeBlanc’s: Pamela helps Roxie study for her test. While they are studying Roxie tells Pamela about Trevor losing his pills. Pamela tells Roxie to settle down since Trevor isn’t the type of guy to abuse drugs. Roxie takes the GED but she can’t finish it since she can’t concentrate and fears failing the test. Roxie leaves the test early and is about to give up entirely on the GED idea. She ends up taking the test though shen she realizes that she did it in the first place in order to make her kids proud. Roxie ends up passing and all her friends throw her a party. Everything isn’t perfect though since Trevor’s drug problem seems to have escalated.

The Burton’s: Roland starts mentoring a kid named Jake who recently lost his father in Iraq. Jake is taking it well but his mother isn’t. Jake thanks Roland for all his help by buying him an expensive watch. Roland determines that Jake used some of the money that he and his mother got when his father died to buy the watch. Roland thinks it is too big of a gift and gives it back. Roland discovers that Jake used more of the money though to buy a fancy car. Roland tries to get Jake to realize that he is replacing his father with material things but Jake doesn’t listen to him. Jake ends up being arrested and Roland bails him out. Roland tells Jake that the only way he will get over his father’s death is if he and his mother talk about what happened and support one another. With Roland’s help he gets the two to finally start talking and help one another through these hard times.
