Gene Simmons:

  • Question 1 (1st Grade Grammar): “What word is the adjective in the following sentence? “Jonathan is happy.”" He obviously knows it is happy and gets it correct.
  • Question 2 (2nd Grade U.S. Geography): “Which of the following states extends the farthest north? A. Wyoming, B. Idaho, C. Utah” He goes with Wyoming but is incorrect. Luckily Jenna saves him with her answer of Idaho.
  • Question 3 (3rd Grade Social Studies): “The 26th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states a person must be at least how many years old to vote in national elections?” He once again has no clue (he would have guessed 21) so he copies Olivia’s paper. She wrote 18, which is the correct answer.
  • Question 4 (5th Grade U.S. History): “The Battle of the Bulge was fought during what war?” He goes with World War II and shockingly gets it correct.
  • Question 5 (3rd Grade World History): “What is the name of the British world leader who appears in the following image?” Obviously you can’t see the picture but the answer is Winston Churchill. Gene goes with that answer and is correct.
  • Question 6 (1st Grade Life Science): “True or false? The tangerine is a citrus fruit.” He goes with true and is correct.
  • Question 7 (2nd Grade Vocabulary): “By definition, how many characters speak during a monologue in a play?” One, correct.
  • Question 8 (4th Grade Astronomy): “What is the term for the outermost layer of the sun’s atmosphere? A. Corona, B. Comet, C. Supernova” By process of elimination, he goes with A and is correct.
  • Question 9 (4th Grade Math): “Jenna has 62 jellybeans and Bryce has 34. If they each eat half their own jellybeans, how many total jellybeans are left?” He goes with 48 and is correct.
  • Question 10 (5th Grade World Geography): “The Bay of Bengal is part of what ocean?” He locks in with Indian Ocean and is once again correct.
  • Million Dollar Question (Science): He decides to take his $500,000 and drop out. The question would have been “What element is represented by the letter “K” on the periodic table?” Gene would have been wrong, he would have said krypton but the answer is potassium.
