Before I begin I have to say that the judges got crazy with the yeses this year. Only 160 acts were moved onto Vegas. I wouldn’t want any good acts to not make the Vegas round but 160 acts is downright ridiculous. In this episode the judges picked 17 of the 40 semifinalists and sent many acts home. After the break find out which acts moved through to the next round and which were sent home.
I didn’t catch the names of most of the acts cut right away and two other group names that didn’t move on along with one act that did move on.
Moved on:
Pete Peterkin (Obama Impersonator)
Arcadian Broad (Young Dancer)
Acrodunk (Basketball Act)
Platt Brothers (Brother dance act)
Recycled Percussion (Band)
David Johnson (“David Hasselhoff Singer”)
Thia Megia (Singer)
Eric and Rickie (8 Year Old Dance Duo)
Some Male Singing Group
The Texas Tenors (Cowboy Tenor Group)
Manuela Horn (Yodeling Dominatrix)
The Fab Five (Clogging/Tap Dancing Group)
G-Force (Young Girl Rock Band)
Drew Thomas (Magician)
Hairo Torres (Dancer/contortionist)
Lawrence Beaman (Singer)
Kevin Skinner (Chicken Catcher Singer)
Not Moved On:
Anthony Ferrente (Terrible Dancer): I am so glad since he didn’t even deserve to make it this far in the competition.
Joseph Constantine and KC (Husband and Wife Magic Act)
Spiritual Harmonizers (Post Officer Singers)-One of the biggest surprises of the night.
Two male dancing groups
Anna Pipoyah (Belly Dancer)
The Hurricane Tricksterz (Karate Dance Group)
The Lollipop Girls (Burlesque Group)
Kari Callin (Singer)
Tallan Noble Latz (Young Guitar Player)
Jay Mattioli (Magician)
Going to a Dance-Off for a place in the semifinals:
Eu4ia
Destined 2 Be
Br8Sk8

America’s Got Talent S4.E1 (June 23, 2009) Live Review

Whats the act with the girls with the colorful circles patched onto their costumes whch are white and did they go on to quarter finals?
Bryan, I think you are refering to Pixie Mystere…and I believe they did go through to Hollywood
Yes they did end up making it to the next round. You can find the entire list of quarterfinalists here.
Does anyone know if the robot group who did some cool dance moves made it to the quarter finalist? I can’t seem to find any information on that. Any info is appreciated.
Unfortunately they didn’t make the top 40. I personally would have liked to see their act. Unless a wild card round brings back some acts that didn’t make the top 40, they won’t make it back onto the show this season.
If you want to find out more about the act they are called the Comic Bots. If you search Comic Bots on You Tube you should find some videos of their performances outside America’s Got Talent.
