The auditions are over and tonight’s episode was pretty decent. Once again no truly unique acts were put through to Vegas but the best dancing act of the season was put through.
At this point I don’t know what to think about the upcoming weeks on the show. It appears that there is a lack of unique and original acts this year. Singers and dance groups appear to be strong this year. Hopefully a couple of unique acts actually get a chance at the finals because I don’t want a repeat of last season’s sing off finale. Hopefully this year’s Vegas round and final rounds are more interesting than last year’s. With that said let’s look at the final auditions of the season.
BreakSk8 (Roller Skate Dancers)-I am glad that they actually brought something new to break dancing. I personally think they are on pace with the other break dancing groups and they actually bring something new to break dancing. There are quite a few break dancing groups though so they will have a hard time making it to the finals. Moved On. Talent: B Entertainment: B
Other act moved on: Mosaic (Singing group), The Lollipop Girls (Burlesque Dancers?), Recycled Percussion (Band of strange instruments), Jeffrey Ou (Keyboard player), SQ Entertainment (Dance group), Several singing acts not named, and Koshka Raenenelle (Singer).
Ciana Pelekai (Singer)-Well I knew the young singer was going to eventually show up since they need to have at least one every year. It wouldn’t be America’s Got Talent without a young singer moving on. I personally am not a huge fan of previous young singers since most of them were moved on purely based on their age. Ciana actually had the talent to move on to Vegas. I got to say that she is the second best young singer the show has ever had (I thought the yodeler from the first season was better). Moved On. Talent: B+ Entertainment: B
Joseph James (Singer)-I could tell that he wasn’t going to be good since America’s Got Talent can’t have an episode without a bad singer. I do pose the question though why so many bad singers have a career by teaching other people how to sing. I honestly don’t know why someone who is a terrible singer can teach other singers how to improve their singing. Not Moved On. Talent: D- Entertainment: D-
Other acts not moved on: Brian & Anthony Lockard (Piano act), Inara Darko (Singer), Scott Renkes & Darren Kessner (Weird circus act), and Franklin Ruehl (Putting straws in a potato).
Beale Street Flippers (Acrobatic Flipping dancers)-Best dance/acrobat act so far this season in my opinion. Unless they have trouble in Vegas I hope to see them in the finals since they deserve to be there. While I don’t know if they are better than some of the similar acts in previous seasons; this season they are the best and one of the best overall acts of the season. Talent: A- Entertainment: A

America’s Got Talent S4.E1 (June 23, 2009) Live Review

Fascinating! But you should check your comments more often. You seem to be getting hit some dodgy comments. I had the same conflict myself. So nowadays I go over everything with extra care.
*I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
